Search the questions below or browse by category. Most answers take less than a minute to read.
Click New post in the sidebar, pick a category, then fill in title, price, photos, and a short description. Posting takes about 90 seconds.
You need a free account to publish (magic link or Google and X sign-in, about ten seconds). The account requirement keeps spam bots out of seller inboxes. For a faster flow that fills the form from a photo, try Quick Post.
Browsing needs no account. Messaging a seller and posting a listing both need a free account: magic link or Google and X sign-in, about ten seconds. The account requirement is an anti-spam measure. Without it, bots would flood inboxes and the storage bucket.
Posting is free, browsing is free, and we take no cut of any sale. Jinu is the billboard, not the middleman. There are no transaction fees and no percentage of sale.
Listings stay live for 30 days. We email you before expiry so you can renew in one click. Renewals extend a listing up to 120 days in total before a new post is required. You can mark it sold or delete it at any time from your manage link.
We list cities across the United States. Pick the closest city when posting, or type your own: it is free text. If your city is not in the dropdown, send us a note and we will add it.
When you post, we email you a private manage link. That link lets you edit photos, price and description, renew, or delete. If you signed in, your listings also appear under My listings. Cannot find the email? Check spam. It comes from hello@jinu.app.
Vehicles, property, jobs, services, clothing and accessories, electronics, entertainment, family, free stuff, garden and outdoors, hobbies, home goods, home improvement, musical instruments, office supplies, pet supplies, sporting goods, and toys and games. Every top-level category has subcategories so buyers find you faster.
We mirror standard marketplace policies. No alcohol, drugs, weapons, animals, adult content, counterfeits, stolen goods, gift cards, event tickets, or anything else listed in our Community Guidelines. Housing listings must comply with the Fair Housing Act. Listings that break these rules are held for human review or removed.
Every listing goes through an automated safety check. If something looks like a scam, a prohibited item, or a Fair Housing issue (sometimes an innocent phrase triggers it), we hold it for a quick human review. We email you within 24 hours either way: approved and live, or removed with a reason.
Yes. Up to 10 photos (JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF, 8 MB each) and one short video (up to 60 seconds, 50 MB, MP4, MOV or WebM). The first photo is your cover image. Listings with at least 3 photos get 5× more replies than text-only ones. Drag to reorder.
Tap the heart on any listing to like it. Find liked items under Liked in your account. We notify you if the price drops or the listing is close to expiring.
Open any listing and tap Message seller. You will be asked to sign in with a free account first (magic link or Google and X). Messages route through Jinu, so the seller's real email stays private. Most sellers reply within 2 hours.
Run any search and tap Save search. We email you when new matching listings appear. Manage or unsubscribe at Search alerts, or use the master switch in Settings, Notifications.
Tap a seller's name on any listing to open their public profile: display name, avatar, how long they have been on Jinu, and their other active listings. You can turn your own public profile on or off at Settings → Marketplace. We never show real names or contact details unless you set them yourself.
Yes, unless the seller marked the price firm. Send a polite, specific message (“Would you take $40 cash today?”). Sellers respond best to clear, concrete offers. We do not hold payments on your behalf; you settle directly with the seller.
Yes. Both providers work alongside email magic links. We only ask for your basic profile (email, name, profile photo) and never post on your behalf. Pick whichever sign-in method suits you on the sign-in page.
Go to Settings and open the Danger zone tab. Deleting your account permanently removes your listings, messages, liked items, saved searches, and account record. You will be asked to re-type your account email to confirm. It cannot be undone.
Not yet, but the site is built for phones. Add it to your home screen for the closest thing to an app. A native app is on the roadmap.
Settings → Account for your email address, and Settings, Notifications to control what we send and when. One toggle mutes everything except new messages.
Open the more menu on any listing and choose Report. Pick a reason (scam, prohibited item, wrong category and so on) and we review it within hours. Reports are anonymous: the seller never sees who flagged them. For urgent safety concerns, email safety@jinu.app.
Common red flags: a price far below market, a seller who refuses to meet in person or on a video call, a request for payment by gift card, wire or crypto, or a story that does not match the listing. When in doubt, walk away. There is always another listing.
File a police report locally first: that is the most important step for any chance of recovery. Then send us the report number plus the scammer's handle and the message thread at safety@jinu.app. We ban the account and cooperate with law enforcement requests.
Jinu is operated from the United States and complies with US Treasury (OFAC) sanctions rules, so we cannot offer the service in comprehensively sanctioned jurisdictions. If you think you are seeing the block by mistake, email hello@jinu.app.
Two: English and Spanish (Latin America). Change your display language at any time at Settings → Language.
All prices are in US dollars. Jinu is a United States marketplace, so sellers post in dollars and buyers see the same number, with no conversion in between. Dates, times and number formatting do follow your chosen language.
Send us feedback, or email bugs@jinu.app with a screenshot, the address, your browser, and what you expected versus what happened. We triage daily.
Each photo must be under 8 MB and in JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF format. On iOS, Live Photos sometimes cause trouble: turn them off in the camera or convert to JPEG. Still stuck? Send us a message.
