Private guest room in a Virginia-Highland home

Our spare bedroom is open to guests most weeks. It has a full bed made up with a quilted floral spread, a vanity table and mirror, a wicker chair by the window and a lamp for reading. The bath is across the hall and shared with us. Nothing in here is new. The furniture is hand-me-down, the carpet has a worn path by the door, and the valances are the ones my mother hung years ago. There is no television and the closet is small, so pack light. We are a short walk from the Virginia-Highland shops and about ten minutes to the Beltline. Street parking out front. Coffee is on early, and I leave a fan in the room because the upstairs holds the heat in August.
