Post a stay
A stay costs $3 to publish on the website, or $3.99 in the apps, and covers short-term and vacation rentals: an entire place, a private room, a cabin, a condo, a house or something more unusual. The fee is charged once, the listing runs for 30 days, and Jinu takes nothing from the booking.
What Stays is for
Short stays, priced by the night, week or month. A long-term rental with a lease belongs in Property, which is also $3 on the website or $3.99 in the apps, and is a different set of fields and filters. Post it in the right one: a year-long tenancy in Stays will be found by people looking for a weekend.
The subcategories are Entire place, Private room, Cabin & Cottage, Condo & Apartment, House, Unique stay, and Other.
What you need before you start
- Photos. Required. Shoot in daylight, include every room somebody sleeps or washes in, and do not photograph only the good corner. A stay listing with three flattering photos and no bathroom gets fewer inquiries, not more.
- A booking link. Required, and the listing cannot be published without one. It has to be an https link. See the article on how stays book off Jinu.
- A location. The exact coordinates of a stay are deliberately fuzzed on the public map, the same as for housing, because it is somebody's home.
- A price and a rate period. Per night, per week or per month.
What you can add, and should
Guest capacity, minimum nights, bedrooms, beds and baths, amenities, house rules, check-in and check-out times, and weekly or monthly discounts. These drive the filters buyers use and the summary that appears on the listing. Amenities you do not have are shown as not included, which is a feature: saying plainly that there is no air conditioning saves you three conversations that were never going to book.
Paying the $3
The fee is taken at the end of the composer: through the App Store or Google Play in the apps, by card on the website. The listing does not go live until the payment settles. If you close the tab mid-checkout, the listing waits in My listings marked Payment pending, which is the single most common reason a seller cannot find their new listing in the feed. Open it from My listings and finish the checkout.
Fair housing applies
A stay is advertising for a dwelling, and it is screened for protected-class language exactly like a rental listing. "No kids", "adults only" and "no service animals" will hold your listing for human review. Describe the property, not the guest you have in mind.
