Post a vehicle

Posting a vehicle is free if you are a private owner selling your own vehicle, and $3 if you are a dealer or a business. Vehicles is the only category on Jinu where who you are changes the price, so it is the only one that asks.

The seller-type question

Partway through the composer you are asked Posting as a dealer or business? with two answers, Individual and Dealer / business. The cost line underneath updates as you choose: Free to post · Live for 30 days, or Listing cost: $3 · Live for 30 days.

Answer it honestly. A dealer posting as an individual is misrepresentation, and it is visible in the pattern of a storefront selling a dozen cars a month.

If you pick dealer, you are sent to Stripe when you submit. The listing is not live until that payment completes; before then it sits at Payment pending, which is the most common reason a paid listing seems to vanish.

What you need

• At least one photograph. Required. Up to ten.
• A title. Filled in for you from year, make and model as you enter them.
• A location. Free text with a typeahead, or one tap from your device location.
• A price. Optional. A listing with no price shows Contact.
• The vehicle details, covered in Make, model and vehicle details.

Which subcategory

Vehicles covers cars and trucks, motorcycles, RVs and campers, boats, ATVs and off-road, trailers, aviation, scooters and mopeds, golf carts, snowmobiles, heavy equipment, commercial vehicles, auto parts and accessories, wheels and tires, and other vehicles. Parts belong in the parts subcategory rather than in cars and trucks.

What will hold your listing for review

Some vehicle wording trips the automated safety check and holds the listing for a person to look at. In this category the usual causes are:

• Airbags, SRS modules or seatbelt pretensioners offered for sale. These are restricted parts.
• Salvage, rebuilt, flood or theft-recovery title wording.
• Emissions defeat devices: catalytic converter deletes, DEF or EGR deletes, tunes sold for deleting.
• Plate flippers, plate blockers and radar-detector shields.
• Catalytic converters offered for scrap, for cash or with no receipt, which reads as stolen goods.

After it is live

It runs 30 days and can be renewed three times, to 120 days from the day it was created. You can boost it for placement from $1. When it sells, mark it sold and name the buyer, which takes it out of the feeds and lets the two of you review each other.
