Search and filter vehicles
Open Vehicles and the filter panel gains a set of controls no other category has. They are the fastest way to cut a large local market down to the few cars actually worth a message.
The vehicle filters
- Make, then Model. Model narrows to the make you chose.
- Body Style.
- Year, as a from and to pair.
- Mileage (Max).
- Fuel Type, a row of chips that takes more than one value at a time, so you can ask for hybrid and electric together.
- Transmission, chips as well, so automatic and manual can both be on.
- Drivetrain.
The shared filters still apply on top: price range, distance, condition, and how the seller will hand the item over.
An order of operations that works
- Set distance first. A vehicle is one of the few things worth driving two hours for, so widen it further than you would for a sofa. On the website there is a radius slider.
- Then a price ceiling, not a floor. A price far below everything else in the results is the single most reliable scam signal there is.
- Then body style rather than model. Naming a model too early hides the three near-identical cars you would have been happy with.
- Then year and mileage. Loosen one before you loosen both.
- Save the search. A saved search alerts you when something matching it is posted, which is how you win against the people refreshing the feed.
Reading the results
- Cards show the price, the location and the mileage where the seller entered it. A card with no mileage means the seller left it blank, not that the vehicle has none.
- A struck-through price means the seller dropped it, and how far.
- Promoted means the seller paid for placement. It is a purchase, not a recommendation, and it says nothing about the vehicle.
- A star with a number beside a seller's name means real reviews from confirmed deals. No star means no reviews yet, which is common and is not a warning.
- A check mark means that seller verified their own phone number. It is not a Jinu inspection of the vehicle.
If a filter is hiding what you want
Filters combine, so it is easy to end up with an empty result and not know which one caused it. Clear them all and add them back one at a time. Remember that a seller who left the mileage or the fuel type blank cannot match a filter on that field, so a tight filter set silently excludes incomplete listings, which is often where the bargains are.
