Price drop and sold alerts on liked items

Liking an item gets you two alerts: one when the seller lowers the price, and one when the item is marked sold. It does not get you a warning before the listing expires.

Price drop

When a seller edits the price downwards, everyone who liked that listing is told. The alert names the item and shows the old price and the new one, and it links straight back to the listing.

Two limits are worth knowing. A single listing sends at most one price drop alert every 12 hours, so a seller who lowers a price in three steps over an afternoon does not send you three emails. And sellers are never alerted about their own listing.

Sold

When a seller marks a liked item as sold, you get a notification headed "An item you liked sold". It stays in your notifications so you can see what went and stop waiting on it.

Expiry alerts are for your own listings

This is the part people expect and Jinu does not do. "Listing expiring soon" is sent to the person who posted the listing, about three days before it expires, so they can renew it. Nobody is warned that an item they liked is about to disappear.

If you want something and it is still available, message the seller rather than waiting. Listings run 30 days and can be renewed up to 120 days in total, so a listing you liked a month ago may already be gone.

Turning them off

Both alerts are switchable in Settings, Notifications, and email and push are separate switches. Price drop emails also carry an unsubscribe link at the bottom, which turns off price drop emails for your account without touching anything else.
