Save a search and get told about new matches
Run any search on Browse, choose Save search, and Jinu emails you when new listings match it.
How to save one
- Search for what you want, and set the filters you care about: city, distance, price range, category, condition, and any category filters such as make and model.
- Choose Save search on the results.
- Confirm. The saved search keeps the filters exactly as they were when you saved it.
Saving a search needs an account, because the alert has to go to an email address.
How often alerts arrive
Alerts are sent once a day, not the instant something is posted. Each run looks at what is new since the last alert for that search, so a busy search sends one email with several listings rather than several emails.
If nothing new matched, you get nothing. Silence means no matches, not a fault.
What counts as a match
The alert resolves your search the same way /browse does, so a saved search for "couch" can alert you about a listing titled "sofa", and a small spelling slip still matches. Every filter you saved is applied, so a saved search with a price cap will not alert you about something above it.
Where your saved searches live
At /account/searches. Each one shows what it looks for and links back into Browse so you can run it by hand at any time.
If you have turned off search history
Settings has a "Save search history" switch under Privacy. With it off, Jinu does not store saved searches at all, so the Save search control appears to work and no search is kept. Turn it back on if you want alerts.
