Accepted payment methods
How you pay depends on where you are. In the iPhone and Android apps, payments go through Apple and Google. On the website, Jinu accepts card payments, credit or debit, on a checkout page hosted by Stripe. Jinu never sees or stores your card number on any of them.
In the iPhone and Android apps
Publishing in a paid category and buying a Boost are both handled by the store you installed the app from, the App Store on iPhone and Google Play on Android. You pay with the payment method that store already holds for you, the purchase shows up on that store's receipt, and refunds are handled by Apple or Google rather than by Jinu, as set out in the Terms of Service. There is no separate card to enter and no browser step.
On the website
When you publish in a paid category or buy a Boost on the website, Jinu hands you over to Stripe, which is our payment processor for web payments. You enter the card there, on Stripe's page, and Stripe returns you to Jinu when the payment settles. The card details are held by Stripe, not by Jinu, which is also why nobody at Jinu can read them back to you.

Saved cards
This applies to website payments. If you have paid on the web before, your card may already be on file with Stripe under your Jinu customer record, so a later payment is quicker. To add, replace or remove a card, go to /account/billing and choose Manage payment methods. A payment method you used inside an app is held by Apple or Google, and you change it in that store's own settings.
Invoices and receipts
Every payment produces a real invoice, viewable online and downloadable as a PDF, plus a receipt. Both are at /account/billing, along with what you have spent this month and this year. Billing also shows the status of each payment, including Paid, Refunded, Partially refunded and Disputed. A purchase made inside an app also has its own receipt from Apple or Google.
What Jinu cannot take payment for
Anything between two members. There is no way to pay a seller through Jinu, no escrow, and no buyer protection, by design. How you pay a seller is agreed between the two of you, and Instant transfer requests: Zelle, Cash App, Venmo, wire sets out which methods can be reversed against you and which cannot.
