Nobody replied. What now?
Give it about a day, send one short follow-up, then move on. There is no way to make a seller reply, and Jinu does not promise a response time on anyone's behalf.
Check the seller's own signal first
Some sellers show a badge reading "Responds within an hour", "Responds within a day" or "Responds within a few days". It is the median time they took to answer a first message, and it only appears once they have had at least two conversations and replied to at least 60 percent of them, so no badge means there is not enough history yet, not that the seller is bad. A seller can also switch the badge off in their settings.
The usual explanations
- It sold and they did not mark it. Very common, and nothing to take personally.
- The listing expired. Listings run 30 days.
- Their notifications are off, or the email went to spam.
- They are away. People list a sofa and then have the kind of week where nothing gets answered.
What to do instead of waiting
- One follow-up, and make it easy to answer. "Still interested if it is available, I can collect any evening this week." Then stop. Repeated messages read as harassment, and there are limits on how fast anyone can fire off new conversations.
- Save the listing. If the seller drops the price later you get told.
- Save the search. You get an email when something new matches.
- Message two or three other sellers for the same kind of item. Whoever answers first gets the sale, which is how this works from the seller's side too.
- Follow the seller if they list the sort of thing you want, so you see it when they post next.
If the listing is clearly gone
Report it from the listing's more menu with the reason Already sold. That is not a complaint about the seller, it keeps the feed honest for the next person.
None of this needs support. If a seller is abusive rather than quiet, that is different: read "Report a message" in this section.
