What a seller profile tells you
A seller profile shows a display name, a photo or a colored initial, a handle, how long the account has been on Jinu, their live listings, how many they have sold, followers, and any reviews they have earned. It never shows a real name, a home address or a phone number unless the seller chose to put one there.
Getting to one
Tap the seller's name on any listing. A profile lives at its own address, jinu.app followed by the handle, so you can bookmark it or send it to somebody. It is a full page, not a pop-up.
What is on it
- Listings. Everything they currently have live.
- Reviews. A star average and the individual reviews, and only when real reviews exist. A profile with no reviews shows no rating rather than a default one.
- About. Anything the seller wrote about themselves.
- Tenure. When they joined.
- Counts. Sold, followers and following.
What a missing detail means
Usually a privacy setting, not a hidden problem. A member can turn off their public profile, their join date, their response time, their activity status and whether people can follow them. Every one of those is on by default and any of them can be switched off in Settings. A blank where a join date would be means the setting is off, not that the account is new.
How reviews get there
Reviews on Jinu are earned by a confirmed deal, not by a conversation. Both sides can review each other, the reviews stay hidden until both have written or the window closes, and there is one review per deal. That is why a busy seller can have few reviews, and why you cannot leave a review for somebody you only messaged.
What it cannot tell you
Not whether the item is genuine, not whether they will turn up, and not who they legally are. Jinu does not check any of that. Read "Phone verification is optional and you do it yourself" in this section, and use the checks in How to spot a scam.
Acting on a profile
From the actions menu on a profile you can message the seller, follow them, block them, or report them. Blocking stops messages and offers in both directions immediately and does not wait for us to do anything. Reporting sends it to moderation; the person is never told who reported them.
