The Trusted Seller badge

Trusted Seller marks a seller whose record on Jinu holds up: deals that completed, reviews that came out of them, and questions that got answered. It is earned by track record rather than bought.

A signal, not a guarantee

Jinu does not guarantee, insure or underwrite any sale, and the badge is not a promise that a deal will go well. It describes what a seller's track record looks like so far, and nothing more. It is not a warranty, not insurance, not escrow, and not identity verification.

A badge is never a reason to skip Meet in a busy public place and Inspect the item before any money changes hands: meet in public, look at the item before you pay, and take the same care you would with any seller.

Its absence tells you less than you might think. Plenty of good sellers have not been here long enough yet.

It cannot be bought

There is no way to pay for the badge, apply for it, or ask for it. It is worked out from a seller's own activity, and it comes off the same way it went on. Nothing you write to us will add it to an account.

How a seller earns it

All of these have to be true at the same time:

• At least 10 deals that genuinely completed through Jinu's own flow.
• At least 5 published reviews from buyers on those deals.
• An account at least 60 days old.
• An average rating of at least 4.50.
• A reply rate of at least 90% on qualifying buyer questions. Below ten questions this requirement is treated as met, because at nine or fewer a single ignored spam message would arithmetically push an honest seller under 90%.
• A verified email address.
• A verified phone number. See Verify your phone number.

None of it can be bought and none of it can be rushed. The account age alone cannot be shortened by any amount of activity.

Keeping it, and losing it

The record is checked again whenever a deal, a review or a moderation decision changes it. A badge earned by a standard can be lost by falling below that standard, or by an enforcement action under the Moderation and enforcement policy. It is not permanent, and it is not a status you hold once and keep.

Seeing your own progress

If you sell on Jinu, where you stand against each requirement is in your account, under Trusted Seller. Only you can see it. It reports every line above, and it says plainly when something has not been measured yet rather than showing a number it cannot support: an average rating with no reviews behind it, or a reply rate drawn from two questions, would be arithmetic dressed up as a judgement.
