What account deletion removes

Deleting your account removes your listings, your messages, your liked items, your saved searches, your follows, your offers, your blocks, your push registrations and the account itself. A few records survive with every identifier of yours stripped out, and this article says exactly which and why.

Deleted outright

  • Listings. All of them, active, paused, draft, expired and sold. They stop being public immediately.
  • Messages. Both the ones you sent and the ones you received.
  • Liked items and saved searches, including their alerts.
  • Follows, in both directions: people you followed and people who followed you.
  • Offers you made and offers you received.
  • Blocked accounts and archived conversations.
  • Push registrations on web and on iOS, so notifications stop.
  • Your profile and the account record itself.

Kept, with you removed from it

  • Reviews you wrote about other sellers. They belong to that seller's rating, so removing them would rewrite somebody else's record. Your email address on them is replaced with a placeholder.
  • Reports you filed. The moderation decision survives so the account you reported stays actioned, and your identity is removed from it.
  • Payment records. Kept for tax, accounting and chargeback purposes, with your email address, your Stripe customer reference and the links to your invoices and receipts all scrubbed.
  • Safety and moderation signals. Rows that would identify you are deleted, and where a record has to survive on the other person's side, your address is removed from it.

Stored only in your browser

Recently viewed is kept on your own device and never reaches a Jinu database, so it goes when you clear your browser data.

Timing

The removal runs when you confirm, not on a schedule. Copies may persist briefly in routine database backups, which age out on their own and are not readable from the site.

Your rights

This is the erasure route under GDPR Article 17 and the deletion right under CCPA section 1798.105. The Privacy Policy sets out what Jinu holds, for how long, and how to reach us about it. Export your data first if you want a copy: the option is on the same settings panel as Delete account.
