What Jinu Affiliates is

Jinu Affiliates is a referral program that pays you a share of the revenue Jinu earns from people you bring to the platform, for twelve months from the day they sign up. The public page is at jinu.app/affiliates.

The rates currently offered

  • 40% of qualifying revenue for the first 3 months after a referral is attributed to you.
  • 25% from month 4 through month 12.
  • Nothing after month 12. The earning period ends there and the referral does not renew.

Those are the terms offered to new affiliates today. When a referral is attributed, the rates in effect at that moment are recorded against it and are what it is paid under for its whole earning period, so a later rate change never reprices a referral you already hold.

What counts as qualifying revenue

Money actually paid to Jinu by a member who is validly attributed to you, for a Jinu product that is commissionable. In practice that is the things Jinu charges for: publishing fees in the paid categories, and paid promotion.

What members sell to each other is not qualifying revenue. Jinu takes no share of a sale between two members, so a sale produces no revenue for the program to share. If somebody you referred sells a car to another member, that money is theirs, and there is nothing in it for the program. This is worth understanding before you set expectations: you earn from what Jinu charges, not from what the marketplace turns over.

Qualifying revenue is the gross payment less tax, less any discount, less any Jinu credit applied, and less anything refunded. Your commission is a percentage of that net figure.

Held before it is available

A commission is recorded as pending when the payment is received and becomes available 30 days later, provided it has not been reversed. The hold exists because a payment can be refunded or disputed after it arrives. It reduces that exposure rather than eliminating it: a refund or a chargeback reverses the matching commission whether or not the hold has passed.

Payouts

You request a payout from your affiliate dashboard, and the amount is your available balance as Jinu calculates it at that moment rather than a number you type in. Payouts go to an account you connect through Stripe; Jinu does not see or hold your bank details.

There is no published payout date, processing time or minimum balance, because none is currently fixed. If one is introduced it will be published in the Commission Statement before it applies to you. Treat any figure you see elsewhere as somebody's guess.

The documents that actually govern it

This article is a summary. The binding terms are the Jinu Affiliates Program Operating Agreement and the Commission Statement. Read both before you apply, because you accept them as part of applying.
