Affiliate Commission Statement
This Commission Statement describes how commissions are calculated, held, reversed, and paid under the Jinu Affiliates Program. It forms part of the Jinu Affiliates Program Operating Agreement and uses the terms defined there. The rates below are the terms currently offered to new Affiliates, published as version 2026-08-31.
Qualifying Revenue
"Qualifying Revenue" means money actually paid to Jinu by a user validly attributed to you, for a Jinu product that is commissionable under this statement.
The commissionable products are currently:
- Paid listing. Money paid to Jinu to publish a paid listing.
- Listing boost. Money paid to Jinu for promoted placement.
Nothing else earns a commission. A Jinu product that is not on this list earns nothing, and a new Jinu product earns nothing until Jinu adds it, which Jinu may do at any time and only for revenue recognised after it does so.
What members sell to each other is not Qualifying Revenue. Jinu takes no share of a sale between two members, so no such sale produces revenue for the Program to share. If your referred user sells a car to another member, that money is theirs, not Jinu's, and not yours.
How the qualifying amount is calculated
Qualifying Revenue for a payment is the gross amount paid, less the fee the payment provider or app store keeps, less tax, less any discount, less any Jinu credit applied, and less any amount refunded or charged back. It is never less than zero. Your commission is a percentage of that net amount, not of the amount shown before deductions.
The provider fee is the largest of those deductions and it is not Jinu's money at any point. When you buy inside the iPhone or Android app, the app store is the seller: it charges the buyer, keeps its commission, and pays Jinu the rest. On the web, the card processor takes its fee out of the payment. Jinu shares what reaches Jinu.
Every commission records the figures it was calculated from — the amount charged, the provider fee deducted, the net it was calculated on, and the rate — so you can check any line on your dashboard rather than take it on trust.
This calculation applies to referrals attributed on or after 31 August 2026. A referral attributed before that date keeps the calculation that was published when it was attributed, for as long as it earns. Jinu does not change how an existing referral is calculated.
Commission Rates and the Earning Period
Commissions are earned on Qualifying Revenue generated by a validly attributed user, at the rate that applies to the month in which that revenue is recognised. Months run from the date the user was attributed to you, not from the calendar year.
| Months after attribution | Your share of Qualifying Revenue |
|---|---|
| Months 1 to 3 | 40% |
| Months 4 to 12 | 25% |
| Month 13 onward | Nothing |
The earning period ends 12 months after attribution. Revenue that a referred user generates after that point earns no commission, and the referral does not renew.
Commissions are calculated and paid in United States dollars.
A rate change never reprices a referral you already hold
The rates above apply to referrals attributed on or after the date of this statement. When a referral is attributed, the commission terms in effect at that moment are recorded against that referral and are what it is paid under for its whole earning period. If Jinu later publishes different rates, your existing referrals continue on the terms they were credited with. A change to this statement is not a retroactive change to what you have already earned.
When a Commission Becomes Payable
A commission is recorded as pending when the qualifying payment is received. It becomes available for payout 30 days later, provided it has not been reversed and your participation is in good standing.
The 30 day hold exists because a payment can be refunded or disputed after it is received. It reduces that exposure; it does not eliminate it, and reversals can still occur after the hold has passed. See section 4.
Jinu may hold commissions, without terminating your participation, while a fraud review, an attribution dispute, or a missing tax or payment document is outstanding. Held commissions continue to accrue and are released if and when the matter is resolved in your favour.
Refunds, Chargebacks, and Reversals
If Jinu refunds a qualifying payment, in whole or in part, the corresponding commission is reversed by the same proportion. The same applies to a chargeback, a payment dispute, or a payment later found to be fraudulent.
A reversal is recorded as its own entry against your balance rather than by editing the original commission, so your history shows what was earned and what was taken back. Reversals apply whether or not the hold period has expired.
If a reversal exceeds your available balance, the shortfall is carried against future commissions. Jinu may recover amounts already paid to you that are connected with fraud, manipulation, or other prohibited conduct, to the extent permitted by law.
Payouts
You request a payout from your Affiliate dashboard. The amount is your available balance as Jinu calculates it at that moment; it is not a figure you enter, and a request is reviewed before any money moves.
You can request a payout when your participation is active, your commissions are not on hold, you have no other payout request open, and there is an available balance to pay. Payouts are made to a payout account you connect through our payment processor, Stripe. Jinu does not hold or see your bank details.
Jinu does not state a payout date, a processing time, or a minimum balance in this statement, because none is currently fixed. Where a payout date or minimum is introduced, it will be published here before it applies to you.
Jinu may require tax documentation or other information before issuing a payment, and may withhold amounts where required by law. See section 10 of the Operating Agreement.
What Does Not Earn a Commission
For clarity, none of the following earns a commission:
- a visit to Jinu that does not result in a new account;
- a new account that never generates Qualifying Revenue;
- an account created more than 30 days after the person last used your Affiliate Link;
- an account belonging to a person who already had a Jinu account, unless Jinu expressly provides otherwise;
- your own account, or an account you control, or a referral arranged so that it credits you;
- revenue recognised after the earning period has ended;
- revenue from a Jinu product that is not on the commissionable list;
- a sale or other transaction between members, which sends no money to Jinu; and
- any referral disqualified for fraud, manipulation, or other conduct prohibited by the Operating Agreement.
Your Records and Ours
Your Affiliate dashboard shows your referrals, your commissions and their status, any reversals, and your payout history. It is the record Jinu makes available to you.
Jinu's records control for purposes of attribution, commission calculation, and payment eligibility, absent a demonstrated technical error. If you believe a figure is wrong, contact support@jinu.app and describe the referral or payment concerned.
Changes to This Statement
Jinu may publish a new version of this statement. Each version carries its own identifier, and previous versions remain in force for the referrals credited under them, as described in section 2.
This is version 2026-08-31, effective for referrals attributed on or after the date shown at the top of this page.
