Bring someone with you

Take a second person to the meeting, and separately tell a third person where you are going and when you expect to be back.

Those are two different jobs and one person cannot do both. The person with you is a deterrent and a witness. The person at home is the one who notices you are late.

What to tell the person who is not coming

• The link to the listing.
• The address and the time.
• The other person's name and username as it appears on Jinu.
• A time you will text them by, and what to do if you do not.

Send it as a message rather than saying it on the way out, so it exists in writing.

Who to bring

Anybody, and they do not need to know anything about the item. Presence is what matters. If you are selling something heavy, bringing the person who is going to help lift it does both jobs at once.

Say that you are bringing someone

Mention it in the conversation beforehand. It is not rude and it is not an accusation: it is normal, and a reasonable person will not react to it. A strong objection to a second person being present is worth taking seriously.

Jinu does not vet the person you are meeting

This is worth being direct about. Jinu does not verify sellers or buyers, does not run background checks, and does not confirm that anyone is who they say they are. Phone verification is something a seller can choose to do themselves, it is not required, and it is not currently available. A profile that looks established is not a check that anyone performed.

What you can look at yourself: how long the account has been posting, what else it has listed, and any reviews it has earned from confirmed deals. None of that is proof, and none of it replaces bringing somebody.

Reporting and blocking

To report a listing, open it, use the more menu (the three dots), choose Report listing, and pick a reason: Spam or scam, Prohibited item, Wrong category, Already sold, or Other. A seller profile has Report seller, which offers a different set of reasons: Spam or scam, Harassment, Impersonation, Counterfeit or fake, Offensive content, or Other. A conversation has Report and Block this user, and the conversation report takes no reason at all.

Blocking is immediate and mutual: neither of you can message the other afterwards. Blocked people are listed in Settings under Blocked accounts.
