Vehicle viewings and test drives

Before anyone drives your car, see their driver's license, photograph it, and confirm they are insured to drive it. If either is missing, there is no test drive.

If you are selling

• Meet in a public parking lot in daylight, not on your driveway. Your home address does not need to be part of the sale.
• Photograph the license and send the photo to somebody who is not there.
• Confirm insurance. Their own policy may cover driving another car, or your policy may cover a named driver, but assume neither until you have checked.
• Go with them. Never hand over the keys and wait at home, and never let the car leave without you in it.
• Agree a short, specific route before setting off, and keep to it.
• Keep the spare key and your phone on you, not in the glovebox.
• Take the plates and any personal documents out of the car before the viewing.

If you are buying

• Check the VIN on the car matches the VIN on the title and the VIN in the listing. All three, not two of the three.
• Buy a history report against that VIN and read it before you travel.
• Have a mechanic inspect it, or take it to one during the viewing. A seller who refuses an inspection has answered your question.
• Drive it yourself, including at road speed, not around a parking lot.
• Check the title status. A salvage or rebuilt title is not a bargain by default and changes what the car is worth.

Money and paperwork

Do the payment and the title transfer in person and at the same time. Do not sign an open title, meaning one with the buyer's details left blank. For a sum this size, meeting inside a bank so the funds can be verified and deposited on the spot is worth the inconvenience.

Treat "I will bring the rest tomorrow" as the end of the deal, not a step in it. Never let the vehicle leave before the money is genuinely yours: a check that has not cleared is not money, and neither is a screenshot of a transfer.

Jinu is not part of the payment

Jinu takes no commission on the sale and never holds the funds, which also means there is nothing for Jinu to reverse if a payment turns out to be false. On a vehicle, that is the highest-value risk on the whole marketplace, so slow it down.

Reporting and blocking

To report a listing, open it, use the more menu (the three dots), choose Report listing, and pick a reason: Spam or scam, Prohibited item, Wrong category, Already sold, or Other. A seller profile has Report seller, which offers a different set of reasons: Spam or scam, Harassment, Impersonation, Counterfeit or fake, Offensive content, or Other. A conversation has Report and Block this user, and the conversation report takes no reason at all.

Blocking is immediate and mutual: neither of you can message the other afterwards. Blocked people are listed in Settings under Blocked accounts.
