Create an account with a magic link
Enter your email address on the sign-in card and Jinu sends you a link and a 6-digit code. Use either one and you are in. There is no password, so there is nothing to remember, reset or leak.
Step by step
- Open the sign-in card. Any action that needs an account opens it for you, so you do not have to go looking.
- Type your email address and continue.
- The card changes to say the code has been sent, with a field waiting for it.
- Open the email. Either click the link, which signs you in in that browser, or type the 6-digit code back into the card, which signs you in where you started.
Requesting a link for an address that has never been used before creates the account at the same time. There is no separate registration form.
Which one to use, the link or the code
The code is the better choice when you asked for the email on a laptop and read your mail on your phone, because the link would sign in the phone and leave the laptop where it was. The link is the faster choice when the mail is open on the same device.
Two things you are agreeing to
The card says so above the button, and both are real. Continuing accepts the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. Jinu is an adults-only service: the Terms require you to be 18 or older to use it at all, so accepting them is also saying you are.
Use an address you will keep
Disposable and temporary mailbox services are refused with "Please use a permanent email address." That is deliberate. Your email address is the account, so an address that stops existing next week is an account nobody can ever sign back into or recover.
If you ask for a second link too quickly
There is a short cooldown between sends, and asking again inside it answers "Please wait a few seconds before requesting another link." Wait, then ask again. The first email is usually still on its way.
