What the notification bell shows

The bell is a dropdown of things that happened to you on Jinu: offers, people you follow posting, saved items selling or dropping in price, new followers, reviews, deals waiting to be confirmed, listings expiring or expired, and new matches for a saved search. Conversations live in the inbox; the bell links to them but does not hold them.

What appears in it

• An offer you made was accepted, declined or expired.
• An offer you received, or a counter-offer.
• Something you saved has sold, or dropped in price.
• Somebody you follow posted, or a company you follow posted a job.
• You have a new follower.
• You received a review, or a deal is waiting for you to confirm it, or a review is due.
• One of your listings expires in three days, or has expired.
• New listings match a search you saved.
• New messages, as a single row per conversation that opens the inbox.

There is no notifications page

Notifications live entirely in the bell on both desktop and mobile. The old /notifications address redirects to the home feed, so an old bookmark will not take you anywhere useful.

The bell follows your settings

Each category respects the switches in Settings under Notifications. Turning both Email and Push off for a type also removes it from the bell, which is the point: those switches control whether Jinu tells you about that kind of event at all, not only how. Turn one of them back on and the category returns.

The red dot

The number on the bell counts what you have not seen. Separately, the Notification badge switch under In-app controls the red dot on the inbox icon for unread messages, which is a different indicator on a different icon.

When part of it cannot be loaded

The bell is assembled from a dozen independent reads. If one of them fails, the panel tells you the list is incomplete rather than showing you a short list and implying you are up to date, and the count is a floor rather than a total. If everything fails, you get a load error with a retry, not an empty "all caught up". An empty bell on Jinu means empty.
