A free listing goes live immediately
There is no waiting queue for a free listing. Unless it trips a safety check, it is published the moment you press post and is in the feeds straight away.
What happens when you submit
Jinu decides one of three things, in this order:
- Is a payment due? Only in Jobs, Services, Property, Stays and dealer vehicle listings. If so the listing waits at Payment pending until checkout completes.
- Did screening flag it? If so it is held at Under review.
- Otherwise it is live. No queue, no approval, no delay.
For a free listing, step one never applies. So the only thing standing between pressing post and being public is a safety check that most listings never touch.
How to know it worked
- You land on a confirmation screen with the listing's own link and a share control.
- Jinu emails you a confirmation with a management link.
- It appears in My listings marked Live.
- The people who follow you are told you posted something new, if they have that notification on. Following somebody yourself does not tell them anything.
If you were held instead you know it immediately: you land on a page headed Your listing is under review rather than on the confirmation, and the email you get says the same.
Why it can look like nothing happened
- Feeds are ordered by recency and distance, not by newest-anywhere. Your listing is at the top for people near you and nowhere near the top for someone three states away.
- A cached feed page can lag by a minute or two. The listing's own page is authoritative; open it from My listings.
- Your public profile may be off, which keeps your listings out of browse and search while leaving them live at their direct link.
- Google is slower than Jinu. Being live on Jinu and being in a search engine are separate things.
Free to post, and free when it sells
A free listing runs 30 days like a paid one, can be renewed like a paid one, and can be boosted like a paid one if you want the placement. And Jinu takes nothing from the sale itself, in any category. Publishing is the only thing that is ever charged for.
