Add an application link or an apply flow
You choose one of two: take applications inside Jinu, which is the default, or send candidates to your own careers page with a link.
Taking applications in Jinu
The candidate fills in a short form: their name, their email, a cover message, answers to any screening questions you set, and optionally a resume as a PDF of up to 4 MB. It arrives as an email to the address you nominate, which defaults to the email on your account.
That email carries the candidate's name and email address, their message, their answers, and a link to the resume, and its reply-to is set to the candidate, so replying from your mail client goes straight to them. There is no applicant tracking system in Jinu: the email is the application.
Screening questions
You can add up to five, and mark any of them required. They are answered in the same form and arrive in the same email, in your order. Use them for the one or two things that would otherwise waste a call: a license, a shift, a distance, a certification. Do not use them to ask about anything protected, such as age, health, nationality, religion or family status.
Sending candidates to your own site
Choose the website option and give the URL. It has to be a valid https address, and a plain domain typed without the scheme gets the https added for you. Candidates then leave Jinu to apply.
The trade is real. You get your own funnel and your own tracking, and you lose the candidates who will not fill in a ten-minute form on a phone. You also get no application emails from Jinu, and screening questions no longer apply. If you use a link, point it at the specific job, not the careers homepage.
Who can apply
A candidate can apply without a Jinu account, with a bot check in place of one. Attaching a resume does need an account, because uploads are scanned and tied to a signed-in user.
Replying well
Reply to the email, or say no. Candidates on a local marketplace are usually applying to several roles in the same week, and the fastest reply tends to win. If the role is filled, mark the post so nobody keeps applying.
