Adult content and human exploitation
This is the one line on Jinu with no exceptions and no benefit of the doubt. Adult content, sexual services, and any form of human exploitation are prohibited, and accounts involved in them are removed.
What is covered
- Pornography, sexually explicit images, and products presented in a sexualized way.
- Sexual services of any kind, escort services, and any offer or solicitation of a commercial sexual act.
- Human trafficking, forced or coerced labor, and any offer to transfer a person.
- Any content that exploits, endangers or sexualizes a minor.
Content involving a minor is removed on detection, ends the account immediately, and is reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and to law enforcement as the law requires. There is no appeal and no discretion in that.
How to report it
- Open the listing or the profile.
- Use the more menu and choose Report.
- Pick the closest reason. Offensive content and Prohibited item both reach the same queue, and Harassment is there for messages aimed at you.
- Send it. You do not need to message the other person first, and you should not.
You can also write to safety@jinu.app, which is read by the people who action these rather than by a general queue. Include the listing link.
If someone is in danger right now
Contact your local emergency services first. Report to Jinu afterwards so the account can be stopped. In the United States the National Human Trafficking Hotline also takes reports and runs a live chat on its own website.
Keeping yourself out of it
Block the other person from the conversation, which stops any further contact from them, and report separately: blocking protects you, reporting is what gets the account looked at. See Reporting and moderation for what happens after a report and how enforcement is appealed.
