Weapons, ammunition and explosives

Firearms, ammunition, explosives and the accessories tied to them cannot be listed on Jinu, in any condition, to anybody, including a face-to-face sale between two people in the same state.

Not allowed

• Firearms of every kind, including antique, black-powder, non-functioning and 3D-printed, and frames, receivers and completion kits.
• Ammunition, magazines, and reloading components.
• Explosives, fireworks, blasting agents and their precursors.
• Silencers and suppressors, bump stocks, and conversion or auto-sear devices.
• Other regulated weapons where the law restricts them, including switchblades and ballistic knives, brass knuckles, stun guns and other conducted-energy devices, and chemical-irritant sprays.

Wording will not get round it

The rule is about the item, not the phrasing, and describing a permitted item in prohibited terms is itself a violation. A listing that reads as a firearm sale is treated as one.

Things that catch people out

Some listings that are genuinely fine use words the screener watches, and they get held for a person to check. Airsoft and paintball gear, a gun safe, a cleaning kit, a display case, a holster, a hunting knife or a collectible without any live component are the usual examples. If one of yours is stopped, take the word that reads as a weapon out of the title, describe what the item actually is, and let the review run.

Where to sell instead

Use a licensed firearms dealer. They handle the transfer and the checks the law requires, which Jinu is not set up to do and does not intend to be.

Reporting

Report a weapons listing from the listing: more menu, Report, then Prohibited item. If you believe someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first, then write to safety@jinu.app.
