Alcohol, tobacco, drugs and prescription medicines

All four are prohibited on Jinu, and so are vaping products and anything that requires a prescription. These are age-restricted goods that need a license to sell, and Jinu has no way to check either the license or the buyer.

Alcohol

Beer, wine and spirits cannot be listed, and neither can home-brewed alcohol. A collectible container may only be offered where the listing makes clear that it is empty, or is being sold as a collectible, and the sale is lawful where you are. A sealed bottle offered as a bottle is not that.

Tobacco, nicotine and vaping

Cigarettes, cigars, chewing tobacco, snus and shisha are out, and so is the whole vaping category: devices, pods, disposables, e-liquid, nicotine salts, and the paraphernalia around them. This is the one people are most often surprised by, because a vape reads as an electronics item. It is not treated as one.

Drugs and paraphernalia

Illegal drugs and controlled substances cannot be listed, and neither can anything sold as a legal substitute for one. That includes cannabis and cannabis edibles regardless of the law where you are, because Jinu applies one rule nationally. Equipment for producing or consuming a controlled substance is prohibited as well, which is why a pipe, a bong or a grinder listed for sale is stopped even where the store down the street sells them.

Prescription products

Prescription medication, prescription-only medical devices, and any offer to fill, resell or transfer a prescription are prohibited. Weight-loss and hormone products marketed without one are treated the same way. Never buy medication from a stranger: you have no idea what is in it and no recourse when it harms you.

What to do with yours

Unwanted medication goes to a pharmacy take-back or a local disposal program, not to a buyer. Alcohol and tobacco can be sold by a licensed retailer.
