Filter by price, condition and category-specific fields

The filter panel always offers location, sort, subcategory, price, condition, delivery, date listed and verified sellers. Choose a category and it grows the filters that only make sense there.

Available everywhere

• Location and radius. See "Filter by distance and location" in this section.
• Sort. See "How results are ordered" in this section.
• Subcategory, once the category has any.
• Price, as a minimum and a maximum. In Property the label follows the listing: Monthly Rent for a rental, Asking Price for a sale.
• Condition.
• Delivery method: pickup, meetup or delivery.
• Date listed.
• Seller: a Verified sellers only checkbox. Read "Phone verification is optional and you do it yourself" before you lean on this one; today it is a very small set.

Vehicles

Year, Make, Model, Body style, Car size, Mileage (max), Transmission, Fuel type, Drivetrain, Doors, Cylinders, MPG highway, MPG city, Color, Interior color, VIN, and a Features list covering things like a sunroof, heated seats, a backup camera, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a tow package and adaptive cruise.

Property

Property type, Bedrooms, Bathrooms, Square footage, Furnished and Pets, on top of the For Sale or For Rent choice, which in Property is the primary split rather than an advanced filter.

Jobs

Employment type, Workplace type, a pay range with a minimum and a maximum priced either per hour or per year, Benefits, and Date listed.

Two things worth knowing

• Filters survive scrolling. Everything you set is carried into the pages that load as you scroll, so page two is narrowed exactly as page one was.
• Filtering a field a seller left blank excludes them. Filtering vehicles by mileage drops every listing where the seller never entered mileage. If a filter empties the page, that is usually what happened, and clearing it is the fix.

Clear all at the bottom of the panel resets everything at once.
