How results are ordered
With no search text, results are ordered Newest first. With search text, they are ordered by Relevance. You can override either from the Sort control in the filter panel.
The sort options
- Newest. The default when you are browsing.
- Relevance. The default when you have typed a search.
- Nearest. Offered only once you have set a location, because without one there is nothing to be near.
- Price up and Price down, shown in the control as Price with an up or down arrow. Listings with no price are placed last rather than treated as free.
- Popular. Most viewed, with the newer listing first when two are level.
Promoted listings
Sellers can pay to move a listing up. Every promoted listing carries a Promoted label, on every surface, without exception. If it does not say Promoted, nobody paid for where it is.
Paid placement is deliberately narrow:
- It applies only on the first page, and only in the default Newest order. Choose any other sort, or go to page two, and paid placement is out of the picture entirely.
- It is switched off as soon as you use an advanced filter, so a promoted listing can never be pushed in front of a filter you actually set.
- Promoted listings still obey your category, city, price and radius. A boost buys position inside what you asked for, never an exception to it.
- They are spread out, not stacked. One leads the page and the rest are dealt through it so that no two paid listings are closer together than one in three cards.
What a seller is buying is position and nothing else. Jinu does not sell reach, does not sell impressions and does not promise views.
What does not affect the order
Jinu takes no commission on a sale, so nothing in the ranking is tuned by what a listing is worth to us. Being a verified seller does not lift a listing; it is a filter a buyer can choose to apply, not a ranking boost.
