Getting paid

You request a payout from /account/affiliate/payouts, and it is paid to a Stripe Connect Express account in your own name.

Setting up the payout account

You connect it after your application is approved, not when you apply. Nothing about bank details is asked for on the application form.

Onboarding happens on Stripe's own hosted pages, under Stripe's terms. Stripe collects and holds your identity and bank information, which is why Jinu never sees your account number. Tax details are collected before your first payout rather than at application.

Requesting a payout

Open the Payouts page and use the request control. There is no amount to type in: the figure is worked out on the server from your ledger at that moment, which is what stops a stale browser tab from asking for a balance that has since been reversed.

You can have one open request at a time. While a request is outstanding or a transfer is in flight against your balance, the control is unavailable, because a second request would be asking for money already on its way.

What has to be true before you can request

• Your affiliate account is active.
• Your commissions are not on hold.
• You have no request already open.
• Your Stripe account is connected and Stripe reports it as ready to receive payouts.
• Your payable balance is more than zero.

If one of these is not met, the page names which one rather than leaving the control grayed out without explanation. There is no minimum beyond having a positive balance.

What happens after you ask

The request is reviewed. Money moving is a separate step from the request being approved, and a payout counts as paid only when Stripe confirms the bank payout has settled, not when the transfer starts. Until then the dashboard shows it as in progress rather than paid.

If a payout fails

A bank payout can be returned, for example if the account details are wrong or the account has closed. The amount goes back to your balance rather than disappearing, and you can request again once Stripe has the right details.
