Languages Jinu is available in

Jinu is available in English and in Spanish for Latin America. You can switch between them at any time, and the choice sticks to your account rather than to the device.

Changing your language

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Under Preferences, choose Language & region.
  3. Pick English (United States) or Español (Latinoamérica).

The change applies immediately, and it carries beyond the screen you are looking at: emails from Jinu and push notifications are sent in the language you chose, not in the language of whoever triggered them.

What is translated, and what is not

  • Translated: the interface, the category names, the filters, the emails, the push notifications, and the legal and safety pages.
  • Not translated: what other members wrote. Listing titles, descriptions and messages appear in whatever language the person typed them in. Jinu does not machine-translate another member's words and present them as theirs.

If your device is set to Spanish (Spain)

You are served Spanish for Latin America. It is the closest variant Jinu ships, and it is used rather than falling back to English.

Other languages

Jinu launched in the United States first and offers these two. Other languages are not available, and we would rather ship two languages that are complete than a longer list that is half done. Dates, times and number formatting follow the language you pick. Prices do not: they are always in US dollars, which is covered in Why every price is in US dollars.
