The 14 day review window
You have 14 days from the moment the deal is confirmed. When those 14 days are up, whatever has been written publishes and no new review can be added to that deal.
When the clock starts
At confirmation, not at first contact and not when the listing was posted. An accepted offer confirms the deal at once. A mark-as-sold confirms when the buyer agrees. A stay confirms when the host agrees. That moment is day zero.
What happens when it lapses
- Both of you wrote one. They published as soon as the second one arrived, and the window is irrelevant.
- Only one of you wrote one. That review publishes when the window closes. Silence from the other side does not suppress it.
- Neither of you wrote one. Nothing publishes and the deal closes with no reviews. It is not held open waiting.
Submitting on the last day
A review submitted after the window has closed is refused with "The review window for this deal has closed." There is no grace period and the window cannot be reopened, for you or by us. If a review matters to you, write it in the first few days.
Editing before it publishes
While your review is unpublished you can change the rating and the comment. It becomes final the moment it publishes, which is either when the other side submits theirs or when the window closes, whichever comes first. Do not save a rough draft intending to polish it on day 13, because the other person submitting on day 3 publishes what you wrote on day 1.
