Report a review

If a review has been left on you and it breaks the rules, open your public profile, find the review, and use Report review underneath it. A box asks why you are disputing it. Type a reason and confirm. Leaving it empty cancels the report, so put something in it.

Who can report

The person the review is about. The control only appears on your own profile, on reviews written about you. That is deliberate: a dispute is a claim by the person affected, and a reporting button that anyone could press on anyone's reviews would be a tool for burying honest criticism.

What is worth reporting

  • A review for a deal that never happened, or retaliation for something unrelated to the transaction.
  • Harassment, slurs or abuse, or anything targeting who somebody is rather than how the deal went.
  • Personal information. A home address, a phone number, a workplace, a photograph of somebody's house.
  • Off-topic content. Advertising, a link to another site, or spam pasted into a review field.
  • Extortion. Somebody demanding a refund, a discount or a favor in exchange for changing a rating.

What is not a breach

A low rating from somebody who genuinely bought from you and was unhappy. Blunt wording. A complaint about something you think was not your fault. Disagreeing with a review does not make it reportable, and reporting an accurate negative review will not remove it.

What happens next

The report goes to a person. Nothing is removed automatically, and no review disappears because it was reported. Once you have reported, the button reads "Reported to moderation" so you can see it went through. There is no automatic reply, so silence does not mean it was not read.

Your other option, which is often better

Reply to it. A seller can post one public reply underneath any review on their profile, and it is visible to everybody reading. A short, factual, unbothered reply to an unfair review usually does more for you than removing it would have. Future buyers read how you handled it.

If it is a safety matter

Threats, a credible risk to somebody, or content involving a minor should go to safety@jinu.app straight away rather than through a review dispute.
