Who can leave a review
Only the two people in a confirmed deal, one review each, and never more than one review on the same item. A review on Jinu is earned by a transaction that both sides attested to, not by having sent a message.
What counts as a confirmed deal
- An accepted offer. The buyer offered, the seller accepted. Both sides have acted, so reviews unlock straight away.
- A sale the buyer confirmed. The seller marks the item sold to a particular buyer, and that buyer confirms it. Until the buyer confirms, there is no deal and no review slot.
- A stay the host confirmed. On a stay listing the guest claims "I stayed here" and the host confirms it. Same engine, opposite direction.
In every case one side proposes and the other agrees. One person cannot manufacture a review slot alone.
Reviews go both ways
The buyer reviews the seller and the seller reviews the buyer. Being a good buyer is a reputation worth having: showing up when you said you would, and not renegotiating in the driveway, are exactly what a seller wants to know about the next person messaging them.
One each, and only one
Exactly one review per person per deal, held to that by the database rather than by the screen, so a double tap or a retry cannot produce a second. If you review the same person again after a genuinely separate deal, that is a second review on a second deal, which is fine and expected.
Editing what you wrote
You can change your rating and your comment while your review is still unpublished. Once it publishes it is frozen. That is what protects the double-blind rule: if edits were allowed afterwards, anyone could read the review left about them and rewrite their own in response.
What you cannot do
- Review yourself. A deal where both sides are the same account is refused.
- Review somebody you only messaged. No confirmed deal, no review.
- Review after the window closes. You have 14 days from the confirmed deal.
- Post a review while your account is suspended.
