Report a listing
Reporting a listing takes three steps, not one tap: open the more menu on the listing, choose Report listing, then pick a reason from the list and send. The extra steps are deliberate, because a one-tap report is a tap people make by accident and a tool people misuse.
Step by step
- Open the listing.
- Open the more menu, the three dots. On a phone it is at the top of the listing; on a computer it is beside the title. On a job it is the same menu on the job card or the job page.
- Choose Report.
- Pick the reason that fits best. On a listing the choices are Spam or scam, Prohibited item, Wrong category, Already sold and Other.
- Send. You get a short acknowledgement: Thanks, we'll take a look.
If the send fails you are told so rather than being thanked for a report that did not file. If you see the failure message, check your connection and try again.
You do not need an account
A signed-out visitor can report a listing. You complete a short bot check first, which signed-in members skip because their account is the anti-spam gate. Reporting while signed in is better in one specific way: Jinu can email you the outcome afterwards, which it cannot do for an anonymous report.
Rate limits
Reports are capped at ten per network in ten minutes. That is high enough that nobody reporting honestly will hit it and low enough to stop the tool being scripted.
What reporting a listing does not do
- It does not remove the listing on its own. A person reviews it. Three distinct people reporting the same live listing does pull it out of the feeds automatically, pending review.
- It does not block the seller. Blocking is separate and immediate: see Block a user.
- It does not cancel a deal or get money back. If you have lost money, contact your bank first and then follow the recovery steps in I think I have been scammed.
The wrong tool for two situations
- Someone's behavior, not one item. Report the person from their profile. See Report a person rather than a listing.
- A threat, a minor at risk, or anything urgent. Do not use the form. See Urgent safety concerns.
