The report reasons, explained
Picking an accurate reason is the single thing you can do to make a report act faster, because the reason decides where it lands in the queue. The list you see depends on what you are reporting: a listing offers five choices, a person offers six.
Reporting a listing

| Spam or scam | The listing is bait, a duplicate posted many times, an advertisement for something else, or a known fraud pattern: a price far below market, a request to pay by wire, gift card or crypto, a push to move to text or email, an offer to ship after payment from a seller who cannot meet. |
| Prohibited item | The thing itself is not allowed on Jinu: weapons and ammunition, drugs and prescription medicines, live animals of any kind, alcohol and tobacco, counterfeits, stolen goods, adult content, body parts, hazardous materials, fake documents. | Wrong category | A real, allowed item filed in the wrong place, so it clutters a category for everyone searching it. This is a tidiness problem, not a safety one, and it is queued accordingly. |
| Already sold | The seller told you it is gone, or it obviously is, and the listing is still up. Also the right choice for a listing that has expired in every sense except the label. |
| Other | Only when nothing above fits. It is the slowest route, because a moderator has to work out what you meant. |
Reporting a person
From a profile's more menu the list is different, because conduct is not an item:

| Spam or scam | They are running a scheme across several listings or several conversations, rather than one bad advert. |
| Harassment | Abuse, threats, sexual harassment, slurs, or someone who keeps contacting you after being told to stop. Block them as well; blocking is immediate and does not wait for us. |
| Impersonation | They are posing as somebody else, as a business they have nothing to do with, or as Jinu itself. Nobody from Jinu will ever message you asking for a code, a password or a payment. |
| Counterfeit or fake | They are selling replicas or fakes as genuine. If you are the brand owner, the Copyright and intellectual property procedure is the stronger route. |
| Offensive content | Hateful, violent or sexual content in their listings, photographs, profile or messages. |
| Other | As above: last resort. |
Reporting a message
Inside a conversation you can report an individual message. This one needs you to be signed in and to be a participant in that thread, because nobody outside it can see the message.
How the reason changes what happens
Reports are worked in order of seriousness, not in order of arrival. Anything involving a child, and credible threats of violence, come first. Scams, prohibited items and harassment are next. Impersonation, counterfeits and offensive content follow. Spam, wrong category and already sold are the routine tier. Choosing Other for a scam puts a scam in the routine tier, which is exactly the outcome you did not want.
What not to report
A price you think is too high, a seller who did not reply, a listing you were outbid on, or a competitor you would rather was not there. Reporting to remove a rival is itself a violation of the Community Guidelines.
