Report a person rather than a listing
When the problem is somebody's behavior rather than one item, report the person from their profile. Reporting one of their listings for harassment does not fit any of the listing reasons and puts the wrong label on the wrong object.
How to do it
- Open their profile. Tap their name or avatar anywhere it appears: on a listing, in a conversation, or in a followers list. A profile lives at jinu.app/ followed by their handle.
- Open the more menu, the three dots. On a computer it is on the identity row beside their name; on a phone it is at the top right of the screen.
- Choose Report, pick a reason, and send.
The same menu carries Block. Doing both is normal and often correct: the report goes to moderators, and the block protects you now without waiting for them.
When this is the right route
- They are harassing you, in messages or in offers.
- They keep contacting you after you asked them to stop.
- They are running the same scheme across several listings, so removing one changes nothing.
- They are impersonating a person, a business, or Jinu.
- They are selling counterfeits as genuine across their whole storefront.
- Their profile, avatar or bio contains hateful or sexual content.
- They are a buyer, not a seller. Buyers have profiles too, and the same menu.
Include what makes it actionable
The form itself takes a reason, not an essay. If the situation needs explaining, send the detail to safety@jinu.app after you report: the profile URL, the listing URLs involved, dates, and what specifically was said or done. Do not delete the conversation. It is evidence, and deleting your side of it removes the thing that proves what happened.
What happens next
A person reviews it, in an order set by seriousness. The available outcomes run from a warning through limiting features on the account, suspending it, and terminating it permanently. Some things skip the ladder entirely on the first occurrence: content that exploits or endangers a child, credible threats of violence, human trafficking, and organized fraud.
You will not be told the specifics of any action taken against another account. That is a privacy rule that protects you the day somebody reports you. If you reported while signed in you get an email saying whether action was taken.
The person is a suspended account already
A suspended member's profile does not load and their listings are hidden. If a profile you were trying to open has stopped resolving, that may be why.
